‘Brighter Days Will Come’ is inspired by my own personal journey of finding resilience and wanting to convey that there is always light, even in the darkest moments. Grieving for a future you thought you had and grieving for those who are no longer here, becomes a little easier with time. Within the design I would like to convey this by portraying my illustrated Goldfinch, sowing seeds; which will bloom in the future as healing takes time, just like new growth. The Bull will be adorned in a warm green and the front of the Bull will depict the Goldfinch, sowing Poppy seeds along with other white seed heads. These are depicted in white to show a clear contrast and a sense of resilience and growing positivity. The back of the Bull depicts the wild flowers that have grown and will be an explosion of colour in comparison to the front. As well as acting to provoke thought, the Goldfinch sowing the seeds and the wildflowers themselves all have their own important meanings to the landscape.
