Birmingham Hospice is not fully funded by the NHS, instead relying on fundraising and donations to fund our services. Now, more than ever, our expert and compassionate care is needed to ensure people die in a place of their choice, with dignity and in comfort. But the cost of care is soaring, making it harder for us to care for everyone who needs it. We want to ensure we’re here for local communities now, and in the future. By taking part in Bulls in the City as a school or business, visiting the trail with your family or just sharing our message, you will make a difference.
After the summer trail, the sculptures will be auctioned off to raise money for Birmingham Hospice. You will have the opportunity to own a bull of your own and make a difference to ensure the future of your local hospice.
After a summer to remember, it`s time to say goodbye to Bulls in the City and we are absolutely thrilled to announce that the project has raised £241,935 in net profit for @brumshospice 🤍
The power of the bulls and our incredi-bull herd of sponsors, schools, artists, volunteers and trailgoers has been immense.
We estimate that there were 185,383 total trail visitors this summer and we had a £7.6 million economic impact on our city. Not to mention, the outstanding sum of money that has been raised for Birmingham`s primary provider of adult hospice care.
Birmingham Hospice has to raise £7.2 million through fundraised and voluntary income each year – so this total will make a huge difference to local people living with a terminal diagnosis.
We can`t believe we`re now at the end of this bull-tastic adventure – we want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has been involved and supported this project.
Toro is leading his own herd over at his new home in Solihull! 🐂
The beautiful bovine designed by @lenakibbler has joined a blank calf sculpture and a special mini design by @vanessa_mountain – all collected by the same owner 🤩
We`ve loved seeing the photos of the Bulls in the City herd in their new homes – thank you everyone for sharing.
Our first-ever calf sculpture, Brodie, has been delivered to his new family home with Mark and Caroline – and we couldn`t be happier for him!
Brodie was the top prize in the Bulls in the City raffle and as you can see, he`s now settling into his new home nicely – and even has a feline friend sussing him out🐱
Thank you to everyone who entered our raffle and helped to raise vital funds for Birmingham Hospice – and congratulations to all the winners!
A huge bull-sized thank you goes to our epic Logistic Partner @rhg_birmingham 🐂🐂🙌🙌
Without these amazing teams we wouldn’t have been able to move around any of our sculptures, install them along the trail or even put on the trail itself!
They’ve been incredi-bull partners and we can’t say thank you ENOUGH 🤩 legends!!! Until next time… 🤘🤘
It’s been so lovely to receive such amazing feedback about the Bulls in the City trail – and today we’re sharing these incredi-bull throwback pics from 4 year old Tilly 👏🐂
Tilly’s mom said: “Thank you for the lovely trail this year. My 4 year old daughter and myself collected our last 3 bulls the day before the event finished. It was our first event like this! She is excited to do another one soon.”
Tilly’s favourite bulls were Cadbully and Dare to Disco, as well as Bumble Bull by Warren Farm Primary School where she could spot her name ✍️
We might be blue the summer is over but we’re so excited for the future! 🐂 thank you again for all the support and for everyone who joined the herd.
