Jane lives locally in Stourbridge and her design celebrates Black Country heritage.

The Birmingham Bull sculpture is so slick and has such graceful lines to its shape I wanted to create something really exceptional to suit such a fantastic sculpture. This developed into a multilayered piece, reimagining the surroundings of Birmingham and the Black Country with its rich culture of the canals and narrowboats and the folk art. I could see the basic shape of a narrowboat would suit Broderick’s sculpture and the Black Country area. And finally there is also a sense of a tribute of flowers for the late Laurence Broderick the bull’s original sculptor.
