Year 5 children, inspired by Victorian Birmingham’s industrial history and Emmy Bridgwater’s surrealist collages, explored their ancestors’ hopes and dreams of building new lives in the city. They created a photomontage reflecting Birmingham’s inventive spirit, diverse trades, and the creativity that shaped the city’s vibrant identity.
