My design is inspired by the natural world and the importance of spending time outside in the fresh air. Being outside and walking, either on our own or with friends, is fantastic for both our mental and physical wellbeing. It can help to improve our mood and reduce stress levels, while exposure to natural light is important for bone growth and helps us to sleep better. Luckily Birmingham has lots of beautiful green spaces to explore, like Cannon Hill Park, Kings Heath Park and The Birmingham Botanical Gardens. My design is inspired by the stunning plants found in the botanical gardens. The glasshouses there have so many exotic and unusual plants not found anywhere else in the U.K. I think my vibrant design will be really striking against the backdrop of the city, with gorgeous green tones, texture within the leaves and pops of pink. Hidden amongst the leaves will be little butterflies, bees, lady birds and other little critters which visitors can enjoy spotting amongst the foliage.

The Auction

After the summer trail, the sculptures will be auctioned off to raise money for Birmingham Hospice. You will have the opportunity to own a bull of your own and make a difference to ensure the future of your local hospice.
